Here is an older shot that was done for a 1st semester project. Looking through my photos of '08 and discovered this one, completely forgot I did an edit of this version.

EL EL AYCH

Here are some individual portraits of a band out of Oakville, Less Like Humans. They just finished recording their new EP (which is so sick) and are starting to book shows. They have gone through a few member changes & they are (I think so) at the best I have seen them. You can check out their music at www.myspace.com/lesslikehumans. I think their plan is to throw up a new song off their EP up on their site once the promos go up. Be sure to check out the top of the page to see the group shot.

I actually dirtied up my lens a bit and experiemented with lens flare and having the light come through the lens more directly to make some different designs around the subject matter. It's different but I think it suits the band and goes well.

THE OTHER HALF

My best friend, Graham, asked me to snap a few quick shots of him for his mom's birthday on the 26th. It's been a crazy break from school, surprisingly I think Graham and I have become even closer friends which I didn't think was possible.

1ST OF MANY

I am using the whole month I have off of school to shoot all my personal projects I have stored up in my head. Here is quick preview of what's to come ...

Here is a shot I took today of an amazing guy from my church, Frasier. Every Sunday he is always there early, setting up and making sure things go well - he's an inspiration to say the least!

Bunch of new shots coming soon, I have a whole month off so some serious photography is going to go down.

EMBRACE THE LIGHT

I was struck with the fact that most of my photos I am producing lately are really some inner concepts & emotions that are finally pushing their way to the surface. Whenever I am struggling with something or feeling down, I never consciously turn towards photography as an outlet for my emotions. Usually, I just try & deal with them myself but lately my photos are coming out as subtle representations of my emotions and I just realized it today while editing the photo below. It's weird how some things just work themselves out...

Sorry about the Jason Matos Photo signature on the photo but it was the same image I placed in my Facebook group & I have to watermark those shots.

The compression the blog puts the images through is disgusting, as you can see on the blue image, it looks very blocky, I'll try and upload a better version to www.flickr.com/photos/jasonmatos
